A trio of eclipses
Between 2026 and 2028, the skies above Teruel will be the setting for a rare astronomical event: the sighting of three solar eclipses in just two years. The city’s location, its wide horizons and the clarity of its skies make this region a particularly good place to observe this phenomenon.

What is a solar eclipse?
A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun and casts its shadow over our planet. For a few moments, the Sun’s light is partially or completely obscured, creating a natural spectacle that can be seen particularly clearly from places such as Teruel.
